History
Four Corners International Mission Inc. (FCIM) was founded in 2003 as a non-profit faith-based organization. Our office is located at 8006 Oat Ridge Court, Bowie, Maryland. The vision for FCIM was conceived in 2001, after Bishop Charles Cato Sr. conducted his first mission trip to Guyana. Two years later, Four Corners International Mission was established.
FCIM is a hands-on ministry that is operated by volunteers who have a heart for people in need, and who bring their own unique skills and talents to the team. Aiding people throughout the world gives FCIM an opportunity to share our faith in word and in deed. FCIM is dedicated to biblical teaching, economic development, educational enrichment, and medical programs to aid impoverished people in the US and globally.
Our missionary work has led FCIM to many cities in the US, as well as the continents of Africa, South America, and Europe, affecting the lives of thousands of people in need. Our objective is to provide financial, medical, and spiritual assistance to the poverty stricken people in these regions, with special emphasis on ministries centered on families with young children. We have chosen these specific areas to focus on by listening to the needs of the communities with which we work and by evaluating the skills and experience that FCIM has to offer these communities.
FCIM’s first mission trip was to Guyana, South America in 2003. In 2005, FCIM took an exploratory trip to Kenya, East Africa where they found people living in poverty and in need of urgent medical care. In 2006, FCIM established their first medical clinic in Salawa, Kenya. At present, we are working in the regions of East Africa – Kenya and Uganda, South America — Guyana, Trinidad and Tobago, and New Orleans, Louisiana.
